Greenville Ghost Tour scares up two creepy new tours of haunted downtown for 2012

Greenville, SC, 9/13/2012 Every Thursday through Sunday night in September and October the original Greenville Ghost Tour leads guests on a creepy 90 minute walking tour that uncovers the multitude of ghosts and hauntings in historic downtown Greenville.

This popular tour was created by Jason Profit, trusted local psychic, ghost hunter and author of the book: Haunted Greenville South Carolina (History Press). Jason has researched and investigated some of the area’s most haunted places, and has uncovered so much more haunted activity that it cannot all be contained in only one single tour. You will learn of grizzly crimes and firsthand accounts of real ghost stories in many of downtowns most famous and haunted places. One business is so inhabited that every television news team that interviews Jason there has had some form of mysterious electronic problems.

For the first time ever, the Greenville Ghost Tour is proud to announce two additional tours. On top of our original tour, our guest may also choose to brave our late tour during October which includes a few darker tales not covered in the original tour and ends where 10,000 souls rest downtown. For our 21 and up guests, we invite you to have a few drinks inside of several haunted bars and pubs every Wednesday evening during our all new Haunted Pub Crawl. We suggest taking all three tours to hear all of the ghostly tales.

Make sure to wear your walking shoes since the original Greenville Ghost Tour begins in front of the Army Navy store in the West End, winds its way through downtown and concludes near the old Westin-Poinsett. On this journey Jason narrates historic facts and local folk lore creating an unforgettably haunted evening of spooky fun for all ages. Do you dare explore your curiosity?

The Greenville Ghost Tour is a year round tour that gets extremely popular around this time of year. Halloween tour dates fill up fast, so it is wise to reserve your tickets early. The original tour is available on Thursday through Sunday evening at 7pm during the months of September and October. Adult tickets are $20 and kids 4-13 are just $10.

To make your reservations or get more information about the other tours you may visit their website: www.GreenvilleGhost.com or call Jason at: 864-248-6472.

The Stanley Hotel Haunted House

What: The Stanley Hotel was the inspiration for Stephen King’s “The Shining” but what really happened there was too disturbing for the movie.  The Stanley Hotel Haunted House doesn’t scare you in the ways you’re expecting – it’s more of a bone-chilling, mind-altering, scream-for-your-mama kind of experience. The creators of the Stanley Hotel Haunted House won Best of the Upstate last year for “Gallow Halls,” and they have upped the creepiness factor even more for this year.

Where: 245 North Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601
Next to Jersey Mike’s and the Beaded Frog, across Main from the Hyatt, near the intersection of Main Street and Beatty.

The Darkness Haunted Maze / Haunting On Haywood / Psycho Therapy

What: The Darkness Haunted Maze / Psycho Therapy  is fear in its most elemental form – sensory fear.  You will be begging them to turn on the lights.  But be careful what you wish for. You get TWICE the fright for ONE ticket price! Mad patients roam the halls, evil doctors guard the doors, and there’s enough screaming to drive anyone insane!

Where: 555 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC 29607
In the Babies R Us shopping center, on the far left (in the old Steve & Barry’s location), above Halloween Express. Entrance is on the left side of the building.
