Greenville, SC Haunted Houses and Halloween Attractions for 2011

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

Again this year I wanted to gather a new list of the local Greenville area haunted houses and Halloween attractions for 2011… what better place to gather this list than here at GreenvilleGhost.com? So if you are looking for what to do this year for Halloween fun in Greenville South Carolina you have come to the right place!

While I encourage everyone to come explore the actual hauntings, mysteries and history in downtown Greenville on our original Greenville Ghost Tour… during Halloween a lot of great family fun opens up for you to enjoy. This year we even have a special 2.5 hour long extended GHOST HUNTING edition of Greenville Ghost Tour just for Halloween Night 2011! Check our main site here for details.

The “haunted houses” as described in this listing are commercial Halloween productions meant to thrill and scare you. These fun attractions only come around once a year… So get a scare while the season is here!

In this list are the places that I have found by searching long and hard, some of them are big productions, some of them are small. I cannot promise that all of these listed attractions are accurate so please try and contact the individual attractions themselves. Neither I nor GreenvilleGhost.com has any affiliation with these haunted attractions so we cannot answer any questions about them.

If you know of other Greenville and surrounding area haunted houses and Halloween attraction, please leave a comment on this post and leave me the all the contact details. If you have your own local haunted house or other Halloween attraction, please feel free to comment on this post or call us and leave a message with your details for our “Halloween attractions” page.

Contact info or links to websites and myspace pages have been provided below. If your website is listed here we would apprecite a link back to the original Greenville Ghost Tour!

Haunted Houses and Halloween Attractions for 2011 in Greenville, SC

——————————————————————————————–

Haunted Scream Park (large multi theme attraction)

On HWY 123 near Greenville Pickens Speedway going towards Easley, SC

Where: 3800 Calhoun Memorial Highway, Easley, SC 29640
On the same side of the road as the fairgrounds – look for the wrecked police car.

4 Screams in one: The Forbidden Forest, House of the Dead, Friday the 13th Haunted Maze, and the Evil Fortune Teller!

——————————————————————————————–

The Stanley Hotel Haunted House

What: The Stanley Hotel was the inspiration for Stephen King’s “The Shining” but what really happened there was too disturbing for the movie.  The Stanley Hotel Haunted House doesn’t scare you in the ways you’re expecting – it’s more of a bone-chilling, mind-altering, scream-for-your-mama kind of experience. The creators of the Stanley Hotel Haunted House won Best of the Upstate last year for “Gallow Halls,” and they have upped the creepiness factor even more for this year.

Where: 245 North Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601
Next to Jersey Mike’s and the Beaded Frog, across Main from the Hyatt, near the intersection of Main Street and Beatty.

——————————————————————————————–

The Darkness Haunted Maze / Haunting On Haywood / Psycho Therapy

What: The Darkness Haunted Maze / Psycho Therapy  is fear in its most elemental form – sensory fear.  You will be begging them to turn on the lights.  But be careful what you wish for. You get TWICE the fright for ONE ticket price! Mad patients roam the halls, evil doctors guard the doors, and there’s enough screaming to drive anyone insane!

Where: 555 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC 29607
In the Babies R Us shopping center, on the far left (in the old Steve & Barry’s location), above Halloween Express. Entrance is on the left side of the building.

——————————————————————————————–

Nightmare on Pendleton St.

Not far from downtown Greenville SC located on Pendelton St.

Pretty easy to find… most likely has a hearse out front!

Scene on 7 intrviews Jason Profit at haunted greenville store daly design

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

Shortly after releasing a video of things moving around in a haunted store downtown, Jamarcus Gaston from News channel 7 WSPA wanted to talk to me at this popular store.

Daly Design is an amazingly eclectic boutique that is featured in my new book “Haunted Greenville SC” coming out later this year. One day I was walking by when the store was closed… there was no heat or air system on… yet these glass globes were moving around all by themselves in a very dramatic fashion.

I finally got  around to releasing this footage because I thought it should be seen by the public. There really are strange things happening whether we want to admit it or not. Shortly thereafter, this was the feature that aired on WSPA’s Scene on 7.

Blue Fish Grill Greenville, SC affordable fine dining and wine bar

Tuesday, July 26th, 2011

What a treat it was to enjoy the sophisticated ambiance of the brand new Blue Fish Grill in Greenville, SC! What can I say? The steak is incredible and selection of wine from their enormous THREE STORY TALL wine rack is unsurpassed! The thing is they don’t just have steak… they have a culinary collection that includes Italian, French, Greek and Mediterranean cuisine all prepared in an open kitchen. They even have a fresh seafood bar coming soon and several vegetarian dishes on the menu!

So maybe you have seen this place as you pull out of the Whole foods market on Woodruff Rd. onto Market Point Drive. It is located at 5 Market Point Drive, Greenville South Carolina just behind Sticky Fingers. Look for the big blue letters that say “Blue Fish Grill.” Go inside and be amazed at the decor in this place! This is the perfect place for business dinners and socials with their expansive dining room and plush leather couches positioned for easy meetings. It’s like a fine dining restaurant, meets business social with a fantastic wine bar and night club built in!

They are open from 4-10 M-Sat so make sure that you drop by and check them out soon. Make sure you tell them that the Greenville Ghost Tour sent you in since they love to hear how their customers find them! The best part is they are really affordable with meals ranging from $10 to $30 so go check them out next time you find yourself asking… “where do you want to eat?”
